This One is Definitely My Bag

Starting in Hawarden, the home of the amazing Gladstone’s Library, this is a lovely walk with varying scenery and pace.

Distance; 5.5 miles, 2 and a half hours.

Route; From Hawarden out over fields at the back of the school to Moor Lane. More fields, woodlands and a stream give way to flat, firm land and the village of Old Warren, past Cherry Orchard Farm (no ownership disputes, I hope), through Bilberry Wood and past the river back to the car park located just behind one of Hawarden’s two (count ’em) castles.

Facilities; No public toilets but a couple of pubs en route.
