Before the World Cup started we got one longish walk in. This one was on 17 June or thereabouts and took in three Peak District Edges; Baslow , Curbar and Froggatt.
Distance; 7 Miles, 3 hours with picnic.
Route; using Pathfinder Guides, Peak District Walks, we parked in Baslow and walked up,up, up (legs and lungs struggling) to Baslow Edge and the breathtaking (if you had any breath left to take) view framed by rocks. Then we passed along Curbar Edge to Froggatt, down from the Edge to the River Derwent and along enclosed paths, through the village and back to the best sweetshop in Derbyshire.
Facilities; as well as the sweetshop there are decent toilets in Baslow village car park, next to the Village Hall.
