Fol-de-rol and Fiddleclough ree. This walk proves there’s Noe Hope for me…

Distance; 6 Miles, 2 hours 50 minutes (including time for lunch).

Route; from Hope village Car Park up out of town past the Cheshire Cheese hotel and Lose Hill Hotel and Spa (the latter identified as a potential pamper location some day…) through Fiddleclough, over the River Noe and up, up, up towards Win Hill before turning right and heading back to Hope.

Facilities; lovely toilets with HOT WATER (yay!) and top of the range hot air hand dryer on the main road next to Hope Car Park.

This walk lulled me into a sense of false security with its gentle climb out of Hope village. The middle section, though, was something else altogether. My legs ached and I struggled to catch my breath. I had to stop twice before reaching the summit.

Was it worth it?  I give you the panoramic view;

Luckily the last third was an easy stroll along the plateau before dropping into Hope  where there are more cafes and pubs than you could shake a stick at, should you wish to do so.
